A BRIEF HISTORY OF GARY MITCHELL…
‘Dear Sir or Madam will you read my book…’ – writer and historian Gary Mitchell was born in North London on the last day of 1958. In 1978 Gary went to work for the BBC in London and two decades and many adventures later became a novelist, historian, writer and broadcaster.
Gary lives in Bournemouth, Dorset, England, with wife Julia and their two grown-up teenage daughters. He freelance teaches secondary History and is involved with developing creative writing talent, for community groups, in schools, colleges, and for local radio. In 2008 he was nominated for ‘UK Teacher Of the Year’. ‘Gazza’ publishes work on military history, drinks too much red-wine, and supports AFC Bournemouth.
